In another field trial, the long-term capacity retention of large 3000 Ah 2V cells operating in 48V strings in a controlled environment is being assessed by annual discharge testing.
The remarkable thing with these batteries was the superb consistency in capacity between cells (ca 1% or less). Shows it can be done.
We are only up to year 6, but it looks good. In fact we think these batteries will easily achieve 10+ plus.
