From experience we expect to the capacity profile to be something like this.
For most product this is the case, more or less.
But what really annoys the End User is a battery that does this, and is tested at this point. It’s obvious that the battery will not achieve expected service life, but under classical warranty conditions it passes and at least one more discharge sometime in the future will be necessary to evoke warranty. (If time permits, I will say something more about this later.)
Perhaps we can first look at our results from controlled field studies.
