  IMS   - OEM Information

IMS SmartMonitoring technology can be integrated into OEM power systems via an OEM licence arrangement. IMS technology enhances an OEM's product offering with an advanced management tool that allows the end-user to replace battery and power system maintenance routines. IMS SmartMonitoring can:

  • measure individual battery cells, cell interconnects, current shunts, temperature sensors, and other system sensors and devices. Measurement includes on-line battery impedance.
  • analyse and store power system data efficiently for local electronic record keeping. An expert system makes local predictions and judgements.
  • make predictions on battery performance.
  • call home and facilitate maintenance activation.
  • introduce new decision making and control capabilities, including Telepower Australia's SmartControl processes to prolong battery life.

  • IMS is a flexible generic software based platform:

  • An OEM can integrate IMS into their system, typically within an existing system controller/monitor device. IMS can utilise existing OEM hardware and micro-processing infrastructure, with software operating side-by-side with existing software.
  • Alternatively, IMS can fit into the existing power system footprint as a separate data collection and management device with minimal physical and logical integration into existing power system equipment and processes.
  • IMS can take-over, or augment, or operate in parallel with, the monitoring and decision making capabilities of existing product.
  • An OEM can configure the functionality of the IMS universal input scheme, data manipulation engine, and high-level analysis engine.
